We aim to contribute to the theoretical understanding of how biological systems are able to increase and sustain their complexity along time and space, with a special emphasis in the early developmental stages. Most of our work is developed in close contact to experimental labs. To address the research challenges, we take inspiration from statistical physics and dynamical systems theory.
