My research focuses on in silico modeling of dryland ecosystems to uncover indicators of tipping points, transient states, and predict ecological dynamics. As part of the SYNTERRA (SYNthetic TERRAformation), a planetary biological project from EMBL, I aim to develop modeling approaches to design synthetic interventions that enhance ecosystem resilience and prevent catastrophic transitions.
